Dunstall, Staffordshire, 11 January 2011 : With only 3 weeks to go before facing her biggest challenge ever! The Mayfair based Business Executive will be trading in her high heels for hiking boots and her party wear for paramilitary wear!

Farah commented “I’ve never done anything like this so I’ve been training hard and have just completed The Hellrunner marathon. I have some very personal reasons for wanting to do it, not only to fulfil a lifetime dream of summiting the Majestic White Mountain, to challenge myself both mentally and physically but also” Farah confides” to overcome my acrophobia, yes, I have an extreme fear of heights! but most importantly, to raise as much as I can for HOPE for Children - Helping Orphaned, Poor and Exploited Children all over the World. I have raised over £5000 so far and am hoping to have added to this figure by the time I have completed my challenge. My goal is to reach the ice-capped peak at a staggering 5895 metres! Hopefully I’ll be looking down on a sea of clouds with huge glaciers flowing below whilst experiencing five different micro-climates along the way... not long to go now!”

“I chose this amazing charity because HOPE for Children work on incredible projects around the world and they aim to help those children who cannot get aid, support or assistance elsewhere. HOPE for Children help disabled, orphaned, poor and exploited children, particularly those living in third world countries by providing basic necessities including food, water, education, health care and sustaining their long-term development. I want to continue fundraising as much as I possibly can so I can help to provide secure, clean water supplies to orphanages; provide prosthetic limbs to child landmine victims; build permanent classrooms, toilets, provide books & HIV/AIDS awareness training.” continues Farah.

Jane Deakin, Managing Director of Private Expeditions, commented “Farah follows in our recent history of helping charity climbers summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

Farah has done a fantastic job in raising funds and awareness for such a worthwhile charity as HOPE. We will do our very best to ensure that Farah achieves her goal.“
